Parakleses of Mother of God

On August 13, 2003 Bishop John Michael Botean was invited to celebrate the Parakleses of Mother of God at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon (Jackson, OH) as part of the three days pilgrimage organized by the Shrine.

On August 13, 2003, the opening day of the pilgrimage, at 4 (four) pm, Bishop John Michael together with Fr. George Gage of St. Mary Boardman OH and seminarian Peter Preble and Paul Voida commenced the celebration of the Parakleses. At 7 (seven) pm, Most Reverend Basil M. Schott, Archbishop of Pittsburgh, PA celebrated the Divine Liturgy. Bishop John Michael and Bishop Robert J. Shaheen, Bishop of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles, concelebrated the Divine Liturgy.

The day ended with a Candlelight Procession surrounding the grounds of the Shrine of our Lady of Lebanon.
